It's a whole new ballgame…

This is my very first cup of tea – the first of many I assume – consumed in my new place of business. I’m pretty excited about it, and pretty terrified, too. But I’m so close to it that each day just unfolds on its own, with each day’s to do list folding over onto the next. Simple tasks waiting to be completed. Luckily, when starting a business, there’s a lot of things you have to do just to get started that you never have to do again.

It occurred to me this morning that I really miss knitting. I haven’t had any time for it! Surrounded by yarn and no time to knit. A classic tragedy! But hopefully that will change as more of those one-time tasks mentioned above are completed…

Congratulations! Your Mom and Glen have been keeping me updated and I think it’s great to see you following your dreams! You’ve come a long way since your days on Wellington Street! Best wishes for a great success!

Hi Bridget. You must be so excited for next weekend. I bet you still have a million things to do but it always falls into place in the end. Great website too. I really like the picture of your Mom and Glen on your contact page.

This is actually the first time I have ever written on someone’s blog, so I hope I’m doing this right.

So good luck on the Grand Opening next week. Hope you are worked off your feet on your first day with eager knitters.

Love Uncle Tim and Aunt Sue.

    Hi Bridget.
Congratulations on the opening of your business. I wish you all the best of successes..!!! It is a great concept and I am sure you will be a huge success. Your dad is so proud of you! He has been bragging a little bit! As you know I have owned my own business for many years and he shared your business plan with me before you opened. Wow! was all I had to say… you could teach a course on writing business plans!
Looking forward to hearing nothing but positive outcomes for your plan!
All the best to you in 2010 and beyond!!!

On behalf of the rest of The Elegant Spider Knitting Circle… THANK YOU! We have been desperate for a good yarn shop for long enough! I have some serious yarn needs that have not been taken care of.
    See you at the opening!

Just wondering if your yarn shop will be a place for us to bring our projects and work on them and chat to others that have come into the store?
