Hello April!

Today is yarn photos… lots of photos… of yarn… Let’s get started, shall we? 🙂

Some Debbie Bliss…

Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran

Cashmerino Aran is such a classic, it seemed like more and more of an oversight not to have any. Lovely colours + machine washable = knitting heaven!

Next up, sock yarn!

Fortissima Mexico Cotton

Self-striping/patterning sock yarn to be exact. Both of these are Fortissima sock yarns, but the second photo features the cotton blend one, very nice for a lighter summer sock…

Next, Misti Alpaca… sock? Seriously! And handpainted, no less. This one has been here in the shop for a little bit now, but I wanted to mention it since it really is SUPER soft and sooo lovely. Currently the only sock yarn we have with a significant alpaca content…

Next, Fleece Artist! This is the Nyoni sock, a merino base with a little bit of silk, a little bit of mohair, and a little bit of nylon… They are also, currently, half price! (usually $23.99 per skein, now $11.95 for 325 metres!! holy glockenspiel!) I’m running low already, but I’ve been assured that more is on the way!

And last, but certainly not least, Malabrigo sock yarn. You may or may not know that when I opened the store there were two – TWO!! – bags of this yarn left at the warehouse, chocolate brown and ochre yellow, and I said “I’ll take ’em!” and that was all for months – MONTHS! – and now there’s finally more! I just finished a lovely Damson shawlette by Ysolda Teague in the Ochre (it’s probably my favourite yellow in the store right now, this photo doesn’t do the colour justice). I’m going to block it over the weekend and have it in the window for all to see next week. It’s just that pretty…

The shop will be closed tomorrow for Good Friday, OPEN on Saturday April the 3rd, and closed for both Sunday and Monday. Have a great long weekend, everyone!
