28 May New in Store/Friday Sundries
Before we get to business, I have to mention a small addendum to Wednesday’s post about summer survival, summed up in this little beauty:
Why yes, this is an iced latte! While I don’t consume cold coffee beverages regularly, I have to say that this made my sticky Wednesday afternoon ten times better. (Thanks Kerri!)
In shop news, we have some new shawl pins and sticks and buttons by Nature’s Wonders, which is the business name of a man named Gary who trims peoples trees as a retirement project and then uses the wood to make awesome accessories. Is it just me, or is that kind of amazing? This is how I have four sweet little buttons made of lilac wood. Other items feature wood of cherry, peach, apple, poplar, cedar, and black walnut.
Finally, a reminder that this coming Monday (May 31st) is the next Kniterary Night, featuring the wonderful Jenn presenting on colourwork, showing various techniques for utilizing colour in your knitting! Kniterary Nights are free and open to the public, held at the Peterborough Public Library from 7 p.m. to 9p.m. on the last Monday of every month!
