Marlene!

on your toes! Marlenes

Ah, pair number three – “Marlene” by Cookie A. – are done! I had a false start on these, on account of starting with the wrong needle size, but I cast them on with the right size last Monday and finished them this past Monday. Officially my fastest socks EVER. I’m very pleased.

The Malabrigo Sock was, as always, pure heaven to work with. I seriously wanted to just keep knitting ALL the socks with it… but diversity prevailed (although I’m sure at least one more pair will be made with the Malabrigo)…

Pair number four were started on Monday right after the Marlene’s were finished: Herringbone Rib by Kristi Schueler (ravelry link), a free pattern from KnittingDaily.com, and knit in Misti Alpaca’s Handpainted Sock yarn, colourway “Azulichen”… I wanted something in more of a green tone, since I’ve been sticking pretty close to reds and oranges…
