Huzzah!

Huzzah!

Here we are! Pair number fourteen: Make-up Socks by Kirsten Kapur from the Joy of Sox, and knit in Tanis Fiber Arts Purple Label Cashmere Sock in the “Teal” colourway. Soooo squishy, and knit at a tighter gauge for a nice, dense sock. I had my eye on this pattern from the moment I cracked this book, which miraculously appeared after being out-of-stock for weeks, just in time for the final pair.

Make-up side

This is a toe-up design, but isn’t intimidating otherwise, and features this really nice detail around the back of the leg. I’m very pleased with these.

Many have asked me in the last week “What are you going to knit when the socks are done?” Well, of course, I do have plans for many things, not the least of which is the Vine Yoke sweater I’ve had “on the go” (albeit “on the back-burner”) since April. However, it occured to me today as I was binding off that I need to do laundry tonight… And my sweater, knit in one piece, is not exactly convenient laundromat knitting… I need… some sort of small project…

Like socks?

It’s true. I cannot escape… 🙂
