19 Jun Knit in Public Day (photo recap!)
Arrived at Millennium Park before 10 am! Me? Early? A KIP-day miracle!
Found a shady spot, set up my new camp chair, chatted with friends and proudly knit in public (yellow, of course! and if you’re wondering what I’m working on, it’s here: “Sophie” by Cheri Christian)
And had my photo taken for the Peterborough Examiner! (photo cred to Clifford Skarstedtt) True fact: knitting above your head is not easy!
Of course, wardrobe decisions had to be made in advance – wore my new Cap Sleeve Lattice Top (until it got too hot out!). I know it’s a bit of a stretch from my grellow-fidelity, but I’m really into this blueish-greyish-greenish colour. It looks so great with bright or pale yellows! I knit this one with Debbie Bliss’ Eco Baby sport-weight organic cotton, in “Duck Egg” and “Ecru”.
Speaking of yellows, I spied these little beauties on Indigodragonfly‘s table and knew they had to be mine. They’ll make a perfect Color Affection shawl – I didn’t even know I *wanted* a Color Affection shawl!
And then I convinced Kim and Ron (of Indigodragonfly, of course) to let me take some yarn back to the store with me – restock of Merino Sock and some Ultra MCN sock (with 20% cashmere! *drooool*)
And some squishy new MCN Lace and Merino Single Lace.
And because I know you want to know, as of this morning we have a restock of Malabrigo Lace, as well as some Sirdar Baby Bamboo and Debbie Bliss Eco Baby. So much knitting to do!
