all the colours, all the time

It is a beautiful Ontario autumn day here in Peterborough, warm sunshine and the brightest fall colours on the trees I’ve seen in years. Seems like the perfect week for new Malabrigo to arrive, we have colour inside and out now… 🙂

Last Sunday was the last meetup for the Lakeshore Shawl Knit-Along – it was so great to see the finished (and some soon-to-be-finished) shawls. I didn’t think I was going to get mine done, it was definitely a late-night sprint to the finish…

But I’m so happy to have it now! I’ve worn it most days this week. With all the gold and crimson outside, it seems just right (and goes so well with all of my grey clothes!). For something as fine and fancy and delicate it’s actually surprisingly wearable…

(I swear I’m really much happier about it than I look in this photo – sheesh! It’s been a long week!)

Since this is Thanksgiving weekend, our hours are as follows:

Saturday 10 – 4 (closing 1 hour early)

Sunday – Closed

Monday – Closed

I’ll be back on Tuesday pleasantly refreshed and full of turkey and finished ten sweaters because time magically expands on long weekends, right…?

(Have a great long weekend everyone!)

    So pretty……oops, sorry, I started to drool a little….

The pictures do not nearly do justice to the actual colour of your shawl! The gold silk is so luxurious-looking!
