Borrowdale Knit Along with the Fibre Co. Lore

Borrowdale Knit Along with the Fibre Co. Lore

Hi All, Deanna here! On September 1, The Fibre Company released their new yarn, Lore. Two years in the making, Lore is the yarn that The Fibre Co. founder, Daphne, has always wanted to create. Processed in a mill in England’s historical textile region of West Yorkshire, Lore is spun from 100% lambswool from the Romney sheep breed also referred to locally as Kent lamb. It is a woolen spun DK weight yarn that blooms into a beautiful knitted fabric after washing.

Alongside Lore, The Fibre Co. also released the Borrowdale Pattern collection.

Borrowdale is a 21-piece collection of garments and accessories designed by talented indie designers. This collection is made for everyday adventures – the kind of pieces you could wear out on a hike or snuggled up on the sofa.

Each piece is designed to be fun and engaging to make, featuring clever techniques and enjoyable stitch patterns. The finished objects are timeless, practical and beautiful pieces that will slot easily into your everyday wardrobe.

I want to share this beautiful new yarn and pattern collection with you. Please join me for a Knit Along which will run simultaneously with our weekly Purlez-Vous knitting social.

Cast on will be on October 9, from 7 to 9pm.

The KAL will run weekly on Tuesdays from 7 to 9pm until our Cast-off date on November 27th. Come to as many or as few meetings as you like! We'll be around to provide a network of knitting support and some social fun!

To learn more about the collection and help you choose your project, I encourage you to view this virtual trunk show with the Fibre Co. founder Daphne Marinoupolos.
