Shipping policy


Free Local Delivery within 10km of the shop on orders over $40 (before tax).

You will find this option under "shipping" in the checkout if your location qualifies for delivery. Local delivery orders placed Monday to Friday before 3pm are usually delivered same day. If we are having a high volume day or poor weather it could be pushed to the next weekday.

In Store Pick-up
Orders are generally ready within a couple of hours. Please wait until you've received an email confirming your pick-up is ready before traveling to the shop. Once you receive this email, you are welcome to pick-up any time during regular business hours.

$15 Flat Rate Shipping within Canada
Flat rate shipping is with UPS, Purolator or Canada Post Expedited Parcel, and includes tracking. Depending on your distance from us, we find that these parcels usually take between 2-7 business days to arrive once they've been scanned in by the courier. We pack parcels daily and they generally go in the mail within 24 hours of the order being placed (except weekends).

FREE shipping within Canada on orders of $225 or more (before tax). 
This is also UPS, Purolator or Canada Post Expedited parcel and the same information applies.

Xpresspost 
The Xpresspost option is charged at our cost and you will receive a delivery time estimate at checkout. Tracking is included. 

International Shipments
Shipments outside of Canada are charged at our cost based on the parcel volume, weight, and distance traveled. You will receive a costing and delivery time estimate at checkout. Please review the options and estimated delivery times carefully before making your selection. 

Needles in the Hay is not responsible for parcels that arrive beyond Canada Post's delivery standards of service. Please follow the tracking number provided for updates on your order's delivery timeline. Customers are responsible for all taxes, duties and/or tariffs associated with their parcel.

If your items arrive damaged, or the items you have ordered are defective please contact us at info [at] needlesinthehay.ca and we will work with you on a resolution.

As a small independent business, we are not able to offer free returns. Please review our Return Policy for more details.
