    Materials: 4mm, 40" stainless steel circular needle. yarn is included.

    Get into the world of lace knitting and complete a simple but beautiful shawl in this class. While knitting Antarktis, a simple mesh shawl by Janina Kallio, learn the basics of lace knitting, including simple stitch correction and lace techniques. A lace blocking demonstration will be performed during the second week demonstrating the use of lace blocking wires and other helpful techniques.

    Beginner knitters and intermediate knitters will feel comfortable taking this class, and knitters who have been knitting for a while without patterns may find this class especially helpful. The pattern and 100g of fingering weight yarn are included. Skills Needed: Knit, Purl, Yarn Over, Cast on, and Bind Off

The class will discuss colour dominance, colour value, best yarns for different colourwork applications. Recommended for adventurous Beginner and Intermediate knitters looking to increase their skills and build to more complex sweaters. The class will cover the basics of colourwork that are applicable to all types of colourwork. Yarn is included. Skills needed: Knit stitch, Knitting in the round, Cast-on, Bind Off.

    Project planning is an essential knitting skill. This three hour seminar will prepare you to read and interpret patterns and get your project going. We will cover the essentials of tool selection, yarn substitution, and sizing for almost any knitting project. You will need to bring a pattern that you wish to knit, needles, and a measuring tape. You will be knitting a swatch during the class.
