Knit Coach: Wednesdays 4-6

Knit Coach: Wednesdays 4-6

Hello fellow knitters!

We’re so excited to share that we’re reviving one of our community initiatives to help you get the most enjoyment out of your knitting projects.

Starting this coming Wednesday November 15th from 4-6pm you’ll have access to your own personal Knit Coach! Deanna will be up in the Hayloft from 4-6pm every Wednesday to help you overcome your knitting adversities. The Hayloft is at 381 Water St. on the third floor directly above the shop. To access the space, enter through the tall red door directly to the left of Watson & Lou, and take the stairs to the top. We have the entire third floor!

These sessions are open to everyone! Even if you haven’t purchased anything from our shop yet. A dedicated person will be available during these times for troubleshooting.

The Knit Coach can help you troubleshoot things like frogging back, dropped stitches, interpreting your pattern, fixing cables turned the wrong way, finishing issues, gauge swatching, figuring out where in the pattern you are, and building up your confidence.

If you want to learn new techniques from scratch, and we do not have relevant group class scheduled, you may want to consider a private lesson.

Private lessons can be booked for 30 minutes at a cost of $35, or 60 minutes at a cost of $60. Private lesson participants must be at least 13 years of age. If you are interested in booking a private lesson, please email info [at] and let us know what you would like to learn and your scheduling availability. Topics for private lessons can include but are not limited to:

  • Beginner knitting
  • Beginner crochet
  • Knitting in the round
  • Cables
  • Colourwork
  • Socks & mittens
  • Lace & beading
  • Picking up stitches
