Knockers Knit-a-Thon

Knockers Knit-a-Thon

A Knitting bee in support of Knitted Knockers of Canada!

Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. Traditional breast prosthetics are usually expensive, heavy, sweaty and uncomfortable. They typically require special bras or camisoles with pockets and can’t be worn for weeks after surgery.

Knitted Knockers on the other hand are soft, comfortable, beautiful and when placed in a regular bra they take the shape and feel of a real breast. Knitted knockers can be adjusted to fill the gap for breasts that are uneven and easily adapted for those going through reconstruction by simply removing some of the stuffing.

Each Knitted Knocker is made with LOVE by wonderful volunteers like you and are provided FREE OF CHARGE to any woman in Canada who is in need!

Let's put our needles together for a good cause and see how many pairs of knitted knockers we can knock out as an LYS team.

Join us in the Hayloft anytime between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday April 6th for camaraderie, tunes, and snacks.

The Hayloft is at 381 Water St., directly above the shop. To access the space, enter through the tall red door directly to the left of Watson & Lou and head straight up to find us.
The first 20 people to arrive will receive a free Knitted Knockers yarn kit courtesy of our friends at Estelle Yarns.

Bring or buy 4.5mm Double Pointed Needles (4.0mm if you're a loose knitter). Yarn will be available for purchase as well.

You can see all approved yarns on the Knitted Knockers website here: https://knittedknockerscanada.com/how.../approved-yarn-list/
