Breezy Summer KAL in Mojave

Breezy Summer KAL in Mojave

Hello everyone! Deanna here. The rain has finally lifted and summer weather has arrived! I hope everyone had a great July long weekend and found some time to recharge the batteries with friends and family.

Usually the research I do at the TNNA convention is geared pretty much exclusively towards the fall season. But this year I had the good fortune to see the Kelbourne Woolens Mojave collection by Meghan Kelly in person, and I was impressed. A few things struck me:

-Timeless designs with little bit of cool, flattering on all bodies
-Bright and beautiful colours
-A linen blend with a soft hand
-Easy care – naturally machine washable!
-Great price point - $12 per skein

I ordered Mojave as soon as I got back to Peterborough, and it’s just arrived!  A versatile sport to DK weight yarn, Mojave is 40% linen, 60% cotton blend consisting of five sets of very fine 2-plys. The result is a lightweight yarn that is strong and smooth with great stitch definition.

To celebrate this new summery addition to our collection, we’re hosting a quick and breezy Mojave Knit along! As you are probably aware, I am a WOOL NUT. Wool wool wool all the time. But I am legit excited to cast on this adorable racerback tank, Keane Wonder, in Mojave. And YES, I’m doing it in highlighter yellow! A woman my size (approx. 46” inch bust) only needs 5 skeins of Mojave to get it done!

If this tank is not your style, the Mojave collection has lots of options for everyone. Most of the patterns max out around 7 skeins, meaning that most projects will clock in under $100. You can browse all of the patterns here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/mojave-collection/patterns

I hope you’ll join me to knit up one of these terrific tanks and tees! Here are the Knit Along Details:
