The Doctor Is In

Hello fellow fibre enthusiasts. We are starting a new initiative here at Needles in the Hay to help you get the most enjoyment out of your knitting and crochet projects.

Starting the week of September 23^rd we will be introducing weekly Knit Dr. and Crochet Dr. sessions! Knit Dr. will take place every Tuesday evening from 5pm to 6pm with Deanna. While Crochet Dr. will be every Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm with Grace.

The Crochet Doctor is also able to help out with some basic to intermediate knitting issues, while the Knit Doctor is knitting only, basic to advanced.

These sessions are open to everyone! Even if you haven’t purchased anything from our shop yet. A dedicated staff person will be available during these times for troubleshooting.

The doctors can help you troubleshoot things like frogging back, dropped stitches, interpreting your pattern, fixing cables turned the wrong way, finishing issues, gauge swatching, figuring out where in the pattern you are, and building up your confidence.

If you require one on one help to learn new techniques from scratch, and we do not have a group class scheduled, we are also starting to offer private lessons.

Private lessons can be booked for 30 minutes at a cost of $30, or 60 minutes at a cost of $50. Private lesson participants must be at least 13 years of age.
