While I’m sure most of us still have our minds on cozy chunky cold weather knits, spring is right around the corner, and our warm weather yarns are starting to arrive!
The first one to land is Berroco’s Modern Cotton DK. A lighter version of the Modern Cotton you already know and love. Made in a palette of sophisticated neutrals and cheerful brights, Modern Cotton is a blend of Pima cotton and Modal rayon, beautifully twisted to showcase stitch patterns and a soft hand.
Berroco has outdone themselves with their Portfolio collection vol.3 which is dedicated specifically to the modern cotton line and full of drapey breezy projects. Here’s a few of our favourites:
You can check out all the patterns here on Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/berroco-portfolio-vol-3
A new must try light weight yarn we’ve recently received in store is Sugarbush crisp. A DK weight superwash merino with a soft hand and crystal clear stitch definition. Sugarbush is a new Canadian company who’s aim is to inspire knitters and crocheters to create beautiful hand-knit projects that they’d be proud to wear or share.
For more pattern inspiration, you can also look to the new spring issue of PomPom which just came in this week, or Brooklyn Tweed’s new Capsule collection featuring designer Michelle Wang which is filled to the brim with amazing cabled garments.
Stay tuned for more spring arrivals in the coming weeks! We’ll have lots to choose from including new yarns from Katia and the Fibre Co.!
