We're Opening Again!

Hello fibre friends! It is with great excitement that I get to announce that we are opening again after nearly six months. Our first day open to the public is going to be Saturday June 12th from 12pm to 4pm. It’s going to be so great to see everyone again!

We’ve put together a special door prize for the occasion as well. Everyone who visits us on Saturday and makes a purchase and provides us with their email address will be automatically entered into the draw. The lucky winner will receive one skein of Amble in the colour of their choice, a One Sock printed pattern and guidebook, as well as a pair of 2.5mm Seeknit Shirotake Asymmetric circular needles for the project.

There’s lots to see at the shop. Tons of yarn and accessories plus we’ve done some small renovations as well. Thank you so much for supporting us during this pandemic. We’ve managed to stay strong, and the shop is well stocked.

We are still being cautious, and we have some policies we’d like to share with you. This is for everyone’s safety. Hopefully following these guidelines will mean we won’t have to close again in the future.

• One person in the shop at a time
• Masks are mandatory. No exceptions. If you are unable to wear a mask, please order online at needlesinthehay.ca.
• Sanitize your hands upon entry
• There will be a 15 minute limit on visits when there are people waiting to enter.
• Unfortunately, we are still unable to wind yarn at this time. We will revisit this policy when capacity restrictions are eventually lifted.

For your safety, we will continue to regularly sanitize main touch points in the shop and ensure that everyone present is wearing masks at all times. We are also continuing with in-store pick-up and free local delivery within 20km of the shop. Local delivery is an especially good option if you are unable to make it in during our open hours or you need to remain self-isolated for medical reasons. Please don’t hesitate to use this option which can be found under shipping at checkout on our website.

We know that a 15min timeline may be difficult in some cases. To make the most of your visit, I would encourage you to contact me (Deanna) in advance by email at info@needlesinthehay.ca if you need guidance on planning your project. I would be happy to help in advance with patterns and yarn ideas so you can arrive to the shop prepared with some ideas.

Our opening hours will be as follows:

Tuesday to Friday - 11am to 4pm
Saturday - 12pm to 4pm
Sunday and Monday - Closed
