Let’s Crochet! is a captivating one-off issue by Laine Magazine dedicated entirely to contemporary crochet design. Featuring 17 patterns, interesting articles as well as beautiful photography, this special issue celebrates the versatility of crochet.

This special edition showcases the versatility of crochet — sleek or playful, muted or colourful, soft and flowing or sturdy and durable. With bold colour combinations and springtime light, the photography creates an uplifting, joyful and slightly nostalgic vibe.

Let’s Crochet! features an interview with the crochet designer Agnes Koch (@accrochets), whose love for fashion and colour shines through in her fun and approachable patterns. We also take a closer look at the iconic granny square: why is this evergreen crochet block so loved by crafters, fashion designers and celebrities alike, and what do the 2020s versions of it look like?

As many of you know, Laine magazines and books have primarily focused on knitting. However, we wanted to create this special issue to encourage our dear knitting audience to give crochet a try — but most of all, to thank crocheters for the joy and creativity they bring to the world of fibre arts.

Let’s Crochet! includes:

-164 pages
-17 crochet patterns: 8 tops, 2 vests, 4 bags, 1 hat, 1 shawl, 1 pair of hand-warmers
-An interview with the crochet designer Agnes Koch (@accrochets) whose  love of fashion and colours shows in her fun, approachable and trendy designs.
-A feature about the granny square, a basic crochet block loved by crafters, fashion designers and celebrities alike. Why is this evergreen pattern so popular — and what do the 2020s versions of it look like?
