With over 30 years of knitting, designing, and teaching experience – Julie Weisenberger presents her first book: Cocoknits Sweater Workshop which includes eight new designs. The book expands on the simple, seamless, top-down styling we’ve come to expect from Cocoknits.
More than just a collection, however, this book explains the Cocoknits Method – a system of tracking knitting progress in your own easy to follow customized worksheet. Unlike most traditional patterns that create flat shapes, the tailored style of construction in these patterns creates truly three dimensional garments that impart a great fit upon completion.
All designs are worked from the neckline down, so once the neck and yoke area are established, the knitter can just cruise through generating the sweater and not worry about counting or losing track of their place in the pattern. Another advantage of knitting top-down is the ability to try on your garment as you work, to ensure the fit is right.
In addition to all new patterns, Julie has dedicated a section of the book to an in-depth guide to choosing the right patterns for your figure type with considerations for colorwork, textured stitches, and hemlines all working in concert to create the right silhouette for you.

Use the Stitch Holder Kit in lieu of scrap yarn whenever you need to hold live stitches. The threaded needles allow you to knit off of your leather cord. Keep the contents of your kit in the reusable kraft drawer, lined with 100% wool felt.
The Leather Cord and Needle Stitch Holder Kit contains: two interior-threaded needles made of nickel plated steel; three lengths of leather cord. One long – for holding sts of sweater body (59"/150 cm). Two short – for holding sts of sleeves (29.5"/75 cm)
CARING FOR YOUR LCN KIT:
Just like hands, leather can get dry & needs moisturizing. We suggest treating the cord with Thread Magic or another thread conditioner to keep your cords smooth and limber. Screw the needle on only until it is attached to the cord. If you continue to over-screw, you risk breaking the leather inside the needle. Snipping the end of your leather cord at an angle will facilitate attaching the needle. Leather has a grain, so be sure to "go with the grain" when sliding stitches on & off the cord.

Like many knitters, we are mostly digital these days...but there is something so appealing about a good pencil and pape. But how to travel with book, journal, worksheets, magazines, patterns...and maybe also a tablet or cell phone and pencil? Cocoknits started with the idea of a Japanese travel journal, with the elastic bands to secure books and magazines. Then played around with layers of kraft fabric to create pockets for tablets, patterns, pencil and cell phone. The entire portfolio is washable and you can change out the elastic to personalize the colors. Stylish and organized - what’s not to love?
Contents featured in pockets are not included.
