Do you knit in fear of making a mistake? Are you guilty of frogging a whole project over a dropped stitch? No more!

This class is designed to give you experience in identifying and fixing your own mistakes. Using a homework swatch with built-in goofs, we'll practice dropping individual stitches to fix problems in rows below, including recovering a dropped stitch, reversing a cable cross, and using a recovery life-line.

Pre-requisites: This class is designed for the advanced beginner or intermediate knitter. It will be helpful for you to be familiar with the following techniques:
Knit, purl, K2tog, SSK, m1l, m1r, yo, a simple cable cross.

Homework: a sample swatch MUST be completed before attending the class. You will be using your swatch as a learning tool. Upon registration we will send you the instructions. The swatch is 40 stitches and approximately 15 rows.

Materials: Not included. You will need scrap yarn in a DK or Worsted weight and corresponding straight, or circular needles to knit your swatch. Corresponding double pointed needle, locking stitch markers or safety pin, optional crochet hook.

We recommend using a 100% wool yarn that is a bit sticky. Examples include Lore, or Gilliatt. Using a slippery yarn like a superwash merino, or a yarn with no memory like cotton, will make a more difficult learning experience
