Needles *
Size A (for hat body): Size 3.5 mm [US 5]: 40 cm [16”] circular (circ) and double-pointed needles (dpn), or preferred method for working small-circumferences.
Size B (for ribbing): Size 3.0 mm [US 3]: 40 cm [16”] circular (circ), or preferred method for working small-circumferences.
*Original sample in Briggs & Little Sport uses a 3.75mm. I had to size down for my sample in this yarn. This is why I suggest 3.5mm here. You may need to use anywhere from a 3.5mm to a 4mm. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. This is important to the fit of the hat.
Notions
Stitch markers; tapestry needle.
Gauge
24 sts and 30 rnds = 10 cm [4”] in charted colorwork pattern on Size A needle, after blocking.
Skills Needed
