Alice combines 75% organic Merino d'Arles wool from sheep raised in Provence with 25% finely selected linen from northern France and Belgium, prized for its softness. The natural elasticity of Merino d'Arles pairs with the linen’s luminous sheen and gentle feel against the skin.
These distinct fibers are blended and worsted-spun to enhance strength and softness. The yarn’s three plies are twisted with precise tension to achieve a balanced, round, yet supple texture. Dyed with GOTS-certified ecological dyes, Alice is crafted near Biella, Italy. Its unique texture features natural, irregular highlights from the linen fibers.
With 236 yards (216 m) per 50 g skein, this lightweight fingering yarn suits tightly knit, durable socks without synthetics or looser knits like jumpers and flowing accessories that showcase linen’s drape. Alice performs beautifully in simple stockinette or complex patterns, offering versatility and comfort for year-round wear, whether worn alone or layered.
