Next Steps in Crochet: The Granny Square

You've successfully ventured into the world of crochet and have learned the basic stitches and can work on the round. This 2 week class is a perfect next step for you. You will explore the granny square beginning with the traditional motif and then branch out to several multi-colour and floral designs. You will add to your repertoire of stitches and techniques including the treble crochet stitch, magic ring, chart reading, and how to sew squares together to make a blanket or garment. 

Materials: Bring or buy your yarn and corresponding hook. Great opportunity to use up odds and ends. We suggest a 4-5mm hook and 2-3 colours of DK or worsted weight yarn. Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt, or Perfect would be great for this class.

Pre-requisites: completion of the Beginner Crochet class or working knowledge of basic crochet stitches (chain, single and double crochet)
